Ernesto Javier Chevantón Espinosa (commonly known just as Javier Chevantón) (born 12 August 1980 in Juan Lacaze, Uruguay) is a forward currently playing football for Sevilla in Spain.

Starting at the tender age of 12, Chevantón rolled out of Danubio's youth system, the same one that produced Recoba. In his first season in 2000, Chevantón scored 33 goals from 30 games in the league, attracting the attention of various European clubs. An interviewer informed him 6 games from the end of the season that if he scored 3 more goals he would beat the record for a season. After that interview he failed to score and ever since has 'hated statistics.'
